So funny I made a blog post about this query a few months back. But when I hopped on to NBI’s official website again some days ago, I can’t make it to the payment stage.
I really don’t know why this happened when it worked for others. I’m trying to use my BPI account but I just can’t get through. Funny how I am supposed to be an expert with this, I haven’t succeeded with the application.
You can check out my blog post here: http://www.techtektek.com/how-tos/apply-nbi-clearance-online/
Well, in my case, I wanted to renew my clearance because I am planning to apply a passport. No, I am not going to apply for a job abroad. I just want to acquire it so that when I will have to meet a client abroad, in Singapore or Hong Kong perhaps, I can travel easily.
Maybe i’ll try again. Maybe there’s a glitch in the website itself.
If you know why the ‘payment section’ doesn’t work, please let me know in the comments below. A little help is much appreciated. God bless!
Should I be worried about my SSS?
It’s been a long time since I contributed to my SSS. If I remember it was two years ago I got to contribute from my salary deductions for the 11 months I worked in one company. Before that was really almost nothing and on intervals it was only every month or quarterly in less than a year. That if those companies I had worked with really remitted those deductions from my salary.

Now I understand that if you won’t be able to continue your contributions in one year, your contributions will have to go back to zero, if I’m correct. I thought they’re accumulated. I hope I’m wrong.
I’m having second thoughts if I’m going to pursue my SSS contributions. I am not deducted yet from my current employer.
I’m not getting younger anymore, and if I start my SSS payments again, I am like a 20-Year-Old young guy who have just begun to start his own career.

I’ve been fascinated about blog contests for some time now. This began when I first joined Jehzlau Concepts‘ “A Cool Contest Before November Ends.” I didn’t win. But all contestants were given free 1 year domain names and lifetime hosting as consolacion. That was how my first blog Cebu and Davao Journey acquired a new domain name. From cebuanddavao.blogspot.com to cebuanddavao.com. The next one was Batang Yagit’s “My Most Memorable Event in 2010.” I won second prize: free lifetime hosting.
After a few months I joined Abdul Hakeem’s first contest, and with pure luck, I won first prize. I received the prize only a few days ago. I would like to thank Roy of Abdul Hakeem for giving me the opportunity.
Now, I am joining his contest again called “Most Interesting Blog Award.” (this is after joining Jehzlau Concepts’ “Im Giving Away an iPad This April.”) I’ve decided to choose a post from this blog as my entry, since my writings here are more honest and sincere. My posts in Cebu and Davao are more on the business side, more informative. This blog is more of my thoughts and idealisms. Sometimes esoteric and pompous, as with the name of this blog. Also goes with the title of my entry. Here is my entry for this contest, To Live a Pompous Life.
Anyway, this contest is open to all Filipino bloggers. So if you are one and think that you have interesting thoughts to share to the world, just submit your entry to Abdul-Hakeem, Weblog of Roy. Click this link: Abdul Hakeem. The contest is easy. You can submit an old, a recycled, or new entry. Just fill out the entry form from Roy’s post.
So here I am again joining another contest. I hope I win. I also hope for the deserving one to win. I would like to thank Roy again for giving me and all Filipino bloggers the opportunity to express ourselves through the power of blogging. Let’s keep on blogging in the free world. Cheers to all! 🙂
I was surprised this morning when a message on my chat box said that I need to confirm my Paypal’s email address. Not on this blog, but on my Cebu and Davao blog. The message was from Roy; and after clicking his name I went to a post that announced the winners of his blog contest.
It never occurred to me that I would win this contest. I just sent Roy my blog’s link and commented to his blog post, and after a few weeks, I’ve received $25. Yipeee! I’m so happy! 🙂
Roy just began this blogging contest several weeks ago and it looks pretty successful on the first one, the one that I’ve joined and won. He is hosting another contest which is happening now. If you want to join, just click this link here: Abdul-Hakeem.
Good Luck! Cheers! 🙂
I am joining a contest from Jehzlau Concepts called, “I’m giving away an iPad this April!” This contest is open to all bloggers on the Internet (oh yes as in all bloggers in every corner of the earth). To qualify, an entry should be posted on a blog not less than three months old. Good that this blog is already 11 months old. Hehe.
Contestants should give 7 reasons (yes 7 my lucky number) why they should win an Ipad. I believe I deserve to win. I have to say that because I won’t win if I don’t believe that I should win. I believe deep in the pits of my stomach and in the marrows of my soul that I deserve to win an iPad. Here are the 7 reasons why:
1. Because I am broke and I really need something that can make my parents proud of me, at least just for the moment of winning a brand new iPad.
2. Because I don’t have any valuable item with me except my notebook.
3. Because I want to let people know that I can afford owning an iPad (by winning a contest from Jehzlau Concepts). Hehe.
4. To improve my social status.
5. I want to brag this iPad to my friends and share my knowledge to them on how to use it. Hehe.:-)
6. I can blog wherever I go.
7. I want to try a whole new different experience in logging on the Internet.
This contest from Jehzlau Concepts is sponsored by SherWeb, the number one hosted Microsoft exchange provider on the Net. Sherweb offers different kinds of hosting : Web Hosting, Hosted Exchange, Hosted Sharepoint, POP3, Streaming, FTP, and many more.
So that’s it. I really wish that I will win this iPad. Cheers to all!
